Rich & Elaine's Overseas Adventures
but - Who Are We?
We are Richard and Elaine Bryant; we are both fourth generation New Zealanders who have lived in the heart of the country we love, close to the natural environment which we enjoy sharing. We have been encouraged to set up this web site by the many friends and people who have asked us about our adventures.
We have farmed sheep, cattle and deer close to a major National Park in New Zealand where we had a constant stream of visitors wandering up our garden path bursting with enthusiasm and questions associated with their venture into the Park.
We moved on from farming to rekindle our love of the outdoors, forests and mountains and built a three day guided walk which became world renowned. We thoroughly enjoyed the guiding and sharing our knowledge with people from all over the world.
Our next step was to provide for visitors to our country requiring a shorter time span who wanted an outdoor experience while also enjoying the local flavour of arts, food, and wine. One day adventure hikes was established in the South Island of New Zealand’s best scenery where we specialised in nature interpretation and giving people the best private and personalised experience possible.
Our interest in people from all walks of life was introduced to us back in the 1970’s farming days where we enjoyed and gained knowledge from other peoples overseas adventure travel experiences. And so we went on to have adventures ourselves and explore hidden corners on and off the tourist routes.
We love to research when venturing into unknown areas gaining first hand knowledge of other people’s experiences. We invite you to come along with us to tried and true places and spaces, to unlock cultures and see and smell life on this wonderful Earth.
